Dress trousers are usually cut for a belt at or under 1.25 inches, and plenty of tailored pairs won't take anything wider than an inch. That's the job here. It sits quietly under a jacket, doesn't crowd the loops, and keeps the buckle small enough that it isn't pressing into you when you sit down. On a heavy hide it stays flexible too, where the same leather cut wider won't.
Every leather we make comes at this width bar one: Navy Chromexcel is cut at 1.25 inches only. So the choice here is the full range of unlined and lined hides, in 26 to 44 inch lengths, measured buckle fold to the hole you use. If an inch reads slim with jeans, standard is the middle width.
