Navy Shell Cordovan Unlined Watch Strap18mm is the small end of the common sizes: dress watches, mid-century cases, and plenty of field and women's watches. On a small case an 18/16mm taper keeps the buckle in proportion, while a straight 18mm suits a tool watch. The second number is always the buckle end.
Smaller Seiko and Timex cases, the Nomos Tangente and Orion, Lorier's field watches and a run of vintage references all take 18mm. Yours not there? Measure the gap between the lugs, send us the model, and we'll check it before we cut.
Caliper landing between numbers? Try 17mm or 19mm, both cut to the millimeter.
At 18mm we recommend the 18/16mm taper for every watch in the registry, and it's the cut we make most. Three lengths, Short (105/65mm) to Long (125/85mm), or a custom one, and the sizing guide helps you pick. Every leather we make is cut to any width: shell cordovan, the Classic and Vintage series, lined or unlined.
