Dublin is hot plated and infused with natural waxes, giving these lined straps a rich, polished surface and a firm feel.
Full-grain hides from Horween in Chicago, with a blend of fats, oils and greases tanned in. The texture ages well, and it looks as right on a dress watch as on a field watch.
Pull-up is the thing to know here. The fats and oils sit close to the surface, so a fold pushes them aside and the color goes pale exactly where the leather moves. Tan shows it hardest, Black barely at all. The pale patch fills back in on its own over a day or two, and after a few months the strap carries a permanent, faint record of where your wrist bends.
Black Dublin is a matte, oil-rich black with a firm feel that softens into a deep sheen. Color 8 is the oxblood: a dark burgundy that lightens across every bend. Tan is dry and natural, and few straps we make build a patina faster. All three are lined, and all three sit in the Classic Horween series.
