Twelve browns in six Horween leathers, from honeyed cognac to dark chocolate. Leather watch bands and straps cut to order.
Every brown here is a different hide, lined or unlined, made one at a time in our California workshop.
Brown is the biggest color on the site, because every leather comes in at least one. At the warm end: Cognac Aspen and Bourbon shell cordovan, honeyed and light. In the reddish middle: Amaretto and Armagnac shell cordovan, Copper Derby and Mahogany Chromexcel, plus Oak Chromexcel, a mid brown with strong pull-up, and Brown Cypress, a mid brown with a matte finish. At the dark end: Brown shell cordovan, Dark Brown Aspen, Bronze Derby and Brown Waxed Flesh.
A smooth, even brown reads dressier: shell cordovan, or the Classic Horween series of Chromexcel, Cypress and Dublin. A grained or tumbled brown reads casual and shows its age sooner, which is the Vintage Horween series of Aspen, Derby and Waxed Flesh. Brown moves the most with wear, so a light strap won't stay light.
Eight of the twelve are lined; the four shell cordovans are unlined. All come in 12 to 24mm, straight or tapered, and three lengths or a custom one, and the sizing guide walks through measuring both.
