Retailers can stock a selection of our pieces through Faire, and we take on larger commissions and white-label work from our California workshop. Here is what we make, what it takes to start, and what to expect from leather ordered in quantity.
Everything we sell is handmade to order, one piece at a time, so a larger run is the same work repeated rather than a different process. We take commissions across all five of our categories: watch straps, belts, wallets, accessories and red envelopes.
If you have something in mind that is not in the catalog, tell us anyway. Most of what we have built for other people started that way.
If you run a shop, you can order a selection of our catalog wholesale through our Faire storefront, at wholesale prices and on Faire's ordering and payment terms.
Only part of what we make is listed there. If you want a piece, size or leather you do not see on Faire, email us and we will quote it.
Our leather options shift with the size of your order and with what the tanneries have in season. A larger run can open up hides we do not keep in the retail catalog; it can also rule one out, if the current lot will not yield enough of a single hide to cut your order from. We will tell you which of the two you are looking at before you commit to anything.
Leather is skin, and it is not uniform. Color, grain and texture vary between hides and within a single hide, so pieces in your order will differ from each other and from the photographs on this site. That variation is the material, not a fault in it, and it is most of the reason these pieces look the way they do.
For a run meant to match, we work to keep it tight: we cut from as few hides as we can, and we will send you a sample from the actual lot before production starts. What we will not do is promise you fifty identical pieces, because no one working in full-grain leather can.
For larger commissions we offer bespoke white-label work, in three tiers:
Every tier starts with a conversation, and we would rather tell you early that something is not worth doing than take the order.
Wholesale prices for the pieces we list on Faire are shown there. Everything else, including every commission, is quoted on what it is: the leather, the hardware, the piece and the quantity. The prices on the rest of this site are retail and do not carry over.
The figures above are the point at which each service becomes available, not a deposit and not an estimate of what your order will cost.
A commission does not run on our normal made-to-order schedule, and the honest answer depends on the size of the run and whether the leather is in the workshop already. We will give you a date before you commit, and we will tell you if we cannot hit the one you need.
Email us at [email protected] with what you have in mind, roughly how many, and when you need them. Include your deadline even if it is tight, and we will tell you what is possible.
